Red Light For Better Sleep
Did you know that the blue light on our devices, as well as the light that comes from lightbulbs, tricks our brain into thinking it is daylight? This restricts the production of melatonin (the sleep hormone) that helps us fall asleep and stay asleep.
And let's be honest, most of us lay in bed scrolling on our phones before we sleep, particularly now. Something I adopted a few months ago is switching my phone screen to a red light and getting a red light bulb for my nightstand lamp. By doing this it helps our brain naturally produce melatonin and lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone). I have to say it's definitely helped me wind down! And remember, sleep IS a beauty product!
Here is the link for the red light bulbs.
