Travel Beauty Tips
De-Puff
If you're feeling a bit puffy from over-indulging while traveling, grab an ice cube and rub down your face/eye area to de-puff and soothe inflammation. Or bring your ice roller, they travel well!
Moisture Mask
Non-setting moisturizing face masks are a great option to keep your skin happy while traveling. You can even apply a thin layer like a moisturizer before your travel! My ride or die that I have used for 10+ years is the Naturopathica White Tea Antioxidant Mask. Sheet masks are also another great option. Make sure when you remove it you head to the restroom to rub in the extra serum after washing your hands!
No Touching!
Let's face it, everything is gross when you travel. Avoid touching your face to prevent spreading bacteria to your skin and even worst getting sick.
Wear Sunscreen
While flying, not only do UVA rays penetrate airplane windows, you are 20,000 feet closer to the sun. UV rays also penetrate car windows too. WEAR THE SUNSCREEN!
Hand Cream
Commercial hand soaps found in public restrooms are pretty harsh and can really dry your hands. Don't forget to pack a small tube of your favorite hand cream while traveling. The Hand Cream from NÉCESSAIRE is delightful!
Apply Lip Balm
Lips can become chapped and dry too since they don't contain oil glands. Keep a hydrating lip balm handy as well as an SPF lip balm for the daytime. Personally, I like the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask even though it’s for the “nighttime.”
Add A Face Oil
A few drops of your favorite face oil can be added to your moisturizer or layered on top to lock in moisture.
Drink Plenty Of Water
Low humidity on airplanes, air conditioning, being out of your normal routine, over-indulging on salty foods, alcohol, etc. can lead to dehydrating your entire body.
